The e-discussion will run for two consecutive weeks. Each week will be devoted to a topic, though all the sessions will be open for contribution participants throughout the e-discussion.

Week one will focus on identifying key issues and solutions, based on the questions in part 4 of the report. To get the discussion started, each tentative response is provided for each question. Participants are welcome to agree, disagree with and comment on the proposed responses. Participants should not necessary address all the questions. In addition, participants are welcome to post key issues and propose tentative responses. After the first week, the moderators will summarise the main points of the discussion and post it on the website to guide future contributions.

Week two aims at achieving two main tasks. First, contributors will identify priority issues and responses where UN-HABITAT and GLTN and their partners should focus on. Participants are encouraged to familiarise themselves with UN-HABITAT and GLTN materials which will be posted on e-forum or made available through external links. Second, contributors will focus on identification of possible land tools that GLTN and its partners should focus on to better articulate environment and land nexus. Again, to facilitate the discussion, Chapter 5 of the report has identified 11 land tools with case studies and examples. Participants are invited to evaluate those tools (based on relevance, pertinence, and usefulness) to address the issues outlined in weeks one and two. The summary of the week will be posted to all contributors. Moderators will also prepare the overall assessment of the e-discussion. Contributors will receive the copy of the final report.
