Re:land and urban livelihoods - 2009/04/27 01:21 GMT land is one of the main elements for industrial growth which creates great potentials for employment and economic growth and the same time it creates tremendous threats for environment and cause huge maladies especially for the livelihoods of the poor communities.

several approaches to mitigate such problems have been experimented in areas of the World. But still a long way to go

Now in is a felt need that a more efficient, pro poor national, regional and international organized effort is essential

A more coordinated effort must be set among nations by an active collaboration of the international community.

Re:land and urban livelihoods - 2009/04/27 07:21 GMT Do you have some concrete examples on how international efforts and ations could help in this regard?

Re:land and urban livelihoods - 2009/04/28 07:29 GMT thanks for putting an interesting query. you ever known of the regional networks like EULIS, FIG, UNECE and so like which are actively engaged in their national capacity building through a networked regional body. But such arrangements are not visible in Asia, Africa and Latin American regions. So its important to set up global consensus for national and regional networked service systems.
