Welcome - 2008/09/15 15:02 GMT Welcome to Train Ride 2 from the GLTN Secretariat!

Dear e-forum participants,

This evening (15 Sept.) we pass our first train station, and now start the next train ride 2, which will be moderated by Birte Scholz, Global Land and Housing Campaign Coordinator, Huairou Commission and which will run for the next week. Birte will in a next message guide you through what is intended for this next train ride, when we will look at how to try to cluster some of the many evaluation criteria that we have.

The summary of our first ride, prepared by Diane Dumashie will be available for easy access by clicking on TRAIN STATION 2 on the right of the first image you see on the forum, and is also available as a message from her.

For those of you who are just joining us—not to worry—you can join in at any point so start today with your comments which are most welcome.

As we go along, let us remember some of the key questions we are asking ourselves in order to be able to judge whether land tools are sufficiently gender-responsive:

What do we want to know?
What will tell us this?
What is the source of this information?

We have got a rich set of ideas so far, which at the end of the train ride 1 we have tried to put in a summary along these sets of questions.

Happy travelling,

Åsa Jonsson
