Women and Land Accessbility in northern Nigeria - 2008/09/20 11:01 GMT Here in northern nigeria women issue are treated with less attention, though most time they link these unserious treatment to the dominant faigth (islamic faigth).
Though even in the religion there is cnfflicting understanding between sunni and the shiat faction, the shiat strongly support women inheritance to landed property while the Sunni didnt support women when it comes to landed property, majority of the hausa fulani are sunni muslem,i believe what we need here is a cluster that will relate the faight with the principle of existence, women do not inherit landed property unless the dieses has so many to go round times two the male children, otherwise nothing for the female child .To me these is the worst inequality that can exist in the world.this is my brief in train 2.
