1. Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is a private foundation. The primary aims of the foundation are, globally, to enhance healthcare and reduce extreme poverty, and in America, to expand educational opportunities and access to information technology.
2. Centre on Housing Rigths and Evictions (COHRE)
COHRE is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit human rights organisation. COHRE is registered in the Netherlands, and coordinates its global activities from its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. COHRE has publications on women and forced evictions and is instituting research on women's property and inheritance rights in 10 Sub-Saharan African countries.
3. Commonwealth Association of Surveying and Land Economy (CASLE)
CASLE is a federation of independent professional societies representing surveying and land economy in Commonwealth countries. It currently comprises over 40 societies in 32 countries; it has approved Associate Members and correspondents, some of whom are in 19 other countries. The professional societies represented cover the disciplines of surveying and mapping, land economy, and quantity surveying & cost-control.

7. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations leads international efforts to defeat hunger. Serving both developed and developing countries, FAO acts as a neutral forum where all nations meet as equals to negotiate agreements and debate policy. FAO is also a source of knowledge and information. FAO - the Sub-Regional Office for Eastern and Southern Africa has undertaken several studies, for example on the impact of HIV/AIDS on women's land rights.

GRET, a Professional Solidarity and International Cooperation Association established in 1978, GRET is a professional solidarity and international cooperation association. In Africa, Asia, and Latin America, as well as in Europe, we work to contribute to sustainable, fair development and alleviate poverty and structural inequalities. Our actions aim to increase the incomes of rural and urban populations, reduce their vulnerability, improve their access to quality infrastructures and services, and develop their ability to be heard. We place considerable emphasis on experience capitalisation and communication for development, in particular through our publica-tions. 10. Habitat International Coalition (HIC) - Housing & Land Rights Network
HIC is an independent international nonprofit Coalition of organisations and individuals working in the field of human settlements. It was organized in 1976 as a nongovernmental counterpart to the UN Commission on Human Settlements, and both emerged from the process of convening the first UN Habitat conference at Vancouver (Canada), in 1976.
11. Hakijamii Trust (Economic and Social Rights Centre)
Hakijamii Trust (Economic and Social Rights Centre) is an independent and international civil society organisation that works to to improve the power of grassroots communities to ensure their economic and social rights in law, policy and practice. Hakijamii seeks to achieve this objectives by partnering with grassroots organisations and other stakeholders to provide training, awareness raising, research, policy, advocacy and litigation support.
12. Huairou Commission
The Huairou Commission is a global coalition that forges strategic partnerships to advance the capacity of grassroots women worldwide to strengthen and create sustainable communities. Currently, the network focuses its joint efforts on four campaigns: Governance, AIDS, Disaster, and Land and Housing. Its Member Networks are: Federation of Women Municipalists of Latin America and the Caribbean (FEMUM), Groots International (Grassroots Organizations Operating Together in Sisterhood), Habitat International Coalition -Women and Shelter, Information Centre of the Independent Women's Forum, International Council of Women, Women and Cities International, Women and Peace Network and Women and Habitat Network - Latin America and the Caribbean.
13. Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS)
IHS is an international centre of excellence associated with the Erasmus University Rotterdam and operating on a global scale that offers specialized post graduate education, training, advisory services and applied research in the fields of urban management, housing and urban environment with the mission to develop human and institutional capacities to reduce poverty and improve the quality of life in cities.

15. International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD)
IFAD is a specialized agency of the United Nations, was established as an international financial institution in 1977 as one of the major outcomes of the 1974 World Food Conference. IFAD is dedicated to eradicating rural poverty in developing countries and enabling the Rural Poor to Overcome Poverty.
16. International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED)
IIED is an international policy research institute and non governmental body working for more sustainable and equitable global development.IIED acts as a catalyst, broker and facilitator and helps vulnerable groups find their voice and ensure their interests are heard in decision-making. Environmental sustainability is a core concern but not at the expense of people’s livelihoods.
17. International Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC)
At the International Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC), knowledge of geo-information management is plenty available and is continually being developed and extended. By means of education, research and project services, we contribute to capacity building in countries that are economically and/or technologically less advanced. In doing so, considerable attention is paid to the development and application of geographical information systems (GIS) for solving problems. Such problems can range from determining the risks of landslides, mapping forest fires, planning urban infrastructure, and implementing land administration systems, to designing a good wildlife management system or detecting environmental pollution.

ILC is a global alliance of civil society and intergovernmental organizations working together to promote secure and equitable access to and control over land for poor women and men through advocacy, dialogue and capacity building.
19. International Research Group on Law and Urban Space (IRGLUS)
The International Research Group on Law and Urban Space-IRGLUS was formed in 1993, aiming to gather professionals from diverse backgrounds - jurists, geographers, sociologists, political scientists, city planners, environmentalists, etc. - and different affiliations - academics, policymakers, government officers, public administrators, NGOs, etc. - who are doing research/are interested in the interface between law and urbanisation. IRGLUS’s initial objective was to encourage sociolegal research in urban issues, as well as to organise international workshops for the presentation and dissemination of relevant research projects and findings.
20. International Union for Land Value Taxation
The International Union for Land Value Taxation and Free Trade (IU) was founded in 1926 with the purpose of promoting improved social conditions in all nations. Today the IU consists of an international group of interested people, from various walks of life, who enjoy the challenge of organizing, re- searching and understanding the social and economic forces which can either undermine or restore the quality and stability of life within communities. Fundamental to this is an understanding of the relationship between land tenure and taxation. These ideas are not popular with the large land owners and land speculators who accumulate vast unearned fortunes under present conditions.
21. Lantmäteriet (National Land Survey of Sweden)
Lantmäteriet´s mission is to manage the Swedish cadastral system and promote the rational subdivision of land, and to be responsible for the efficient provision of basic geographic and land information. 22. Lincoln Institute of Land Policy
The Lincoln Institute of Land Policy is a nonprofit and tax-exempt educational institution founded in 1974 to improve the quality of public debate and decisions in the areas of land policy and land-related taxation. The Institute's goals are to integrate theory and practice to better shape land policy and to provide a nonpartisan forum for discussion of the multidisciplinary forces that influence public policy. Inspired by the work of Henry George as expressed in the book Progress and Poverty (1879), the Lincoln Institute introduces his thinking and ideas into the contemporary land and tax policy debate to advance a more equitable and productive society.

24. Network-Association of European Researchers on Urbanisation in the South (N-AERUS)
N-AERUS is a pluridisciplinary network of researchers and experts working on urban issues in Developing countries. It was created in March 1996 by a group of European researchers. Its objective is to mobilise and develop the European institutional and individual research and training capacities on urban issues in the South with the support of institutions and individual researchers with relevant experience in this field. N-AERUS will work in association with researchers and institutions in developing countries.

Norwegian Mapping and Cadastre Authority’s Centre for Property Rights and Development assists the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD), and represents a competent and effective supplier of services to international processes as well as to specific aid projects within the real property area. It is particularly dedicated to improved effectiveness and results of Norwegian aid projects on evolving legal rights of the poor.

Terra Institute Ltd. is a private, non-profit corporation that focuses on issues concerning urban and rural land use and policies, environmental protection, land law and natural resource management.
31. United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM)
UNIFEM is the women's fund at the United Nations. It provides financial and technical assistance to innovative programmes and strategies to foster women's empowerment and gender equality. Placing the advancement of women's human rights at the centre of all of its efforts, UNIFEM focuses its activities on four strategic areas: (1) reducing feminized poverty, (2) ending violence against women, (3) reversing the spread of HIV/AIDS among women and girls, and (4) achieving gender equality in democratic governance in times of peace as well as war. UNIFEM has conducted studies examining national and international legislation affecting women's economic, social and cultural rights in Latin America. It is also conducting research on the impact of privatization of civic services on women.

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) is mandated by the UN General Assembly to promote socially and environmentally sustainable towns and cities with the goal of providing adequate shelter for all. UN-HABITAT hosted the Legal Empowerment National Consultation in Kenya and is actively contributing to the Working Groups.

35. World Bank
The World Bank is a vital source of financial and technical assistance to developing countries around the world. We are not a bank in the common sense. We are made up of two unique development institutions owned by 185 member countries—the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and the International Development Association (IDA). Each institution plays a different but supportive role in our mission of global poverty reduction and the improvement of living standards. The IBRD focuses on middle income and creditworthy poor countries, while IDA focuses on the poorest countries in the world.
