E-forum on Land, Environment and Climate Change Update

Dear discussants,

It has been a week since we started this e-discussion. As from today 904 individuals visited the e-forum, 17 posted very constructive comments and shared information, which will go a long way to improve the background document.

The summary of the first week discussion is available on here doc summary_of_eforum_stage1 26.50 Kb

As you are aware, we are approaching the final week of the e-forum. From April 30th to May 7th, contributors are invited to (1) identify priority issues and responses that UN-HABITAT and GLTN and development partners should focus on. (2) Contributors will also help in the identification of possible land tools that GLTN and its partners should focus on to handle the environment and land nexus. Again, to facilitate the discussion, Chapter 5 of the report has identified 11 land tools with case studies and examples. Participants are invited to evaluate those tools (based on relevance, acceptability, and usefulness) to address the issues outlined in weeks one and two. The background document has already identified some priority issues and tools that contributors are invited to review and comment upon. The two sections of the e-forum ("Prioritising issues" and "Identifying priority land tools") will be open for contribution

We wish you a continuous and enriching contribution.
